EVITA TETEROVSKA, is an international professional Soprano Opera who is known for having a captivating stage presence and an exquisite voice. This is a young woman who possesses not only a lovely quality of voice, but also a professional demeanor filled with charm and intelligence.
This is evident in roles such as Liu/Turandot, First Lady/Magic Flute , Manon/Manon, Rusalka/Rusalka, Rosalinde/Die Fledermaus, Michaela/Carmen, and Marguerite/Faust.
She holds an MA in Music (Opera singing specialization) from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Rīga, Latvia. In addition in 2022, she obtained the highest degree in music—the Artist Diploma in Performance Art in Opera speciality from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ, USA.
She has performed internationally in Europe and America. One of her most notable accomplishments as a concert soloist was performing at Carnegie Hall in Manhattan, New York City, USA. Her previous work experience includes performing at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, the National Opera Center in New York City/ Opera AMERICA, Matador Opera Studio in TX, Di Capo Theater in Manhattan, NYC, Manhattan Opera Studio Summer Festival in Manhattan, NYC, in the USA; Conservatoire de la Luxembourg Grande hall Concerthall (Neue Stimmen Academy in Luxembourg), Arca Bertrange in Luxembourg, Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) Concert hall in Manchester (UK), and Opera Studio Figaro in Latvia and Concert halls and Manors in Latvia, Europe.
She has had the honor of singing performances for the Latvian Embassy in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as the United Nations Permanent Mission of the Republic of Latvia. She has also performed with Dr. Michael Fennelly, an American pianist, in various New York City engagements.
On stage she has worked with previous Latvian National Opera director Andrejs Žagars, stage director Viesturs Kairišs (National Theater director of Daile, awarded in film festival of Tribeca in New York), American stage director Walker Lewis, American conductors Nicholas DeMaison and Jeffrey Peterson, France conductor Benoit Renard, Latvian conductors Jānis Stafeckis, Viesturs Gailis.
Ms. Tetetrovska has won prizes in four international singing competitions: 1st Prize in the Charleston International Music Competition 2021, (USA); 3rd Prize in the 2nd World Voice ECompetition, 2021 Napolinova (Italy); 3rd Prize in The MEDICI International Music Competition (London); And Semifinalist in The Anonymous Audition Project – German Repertoire, (NYIOP, NYC/Germany). In addition, Ms. Teterovska was invited to participate in the American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) Summer Festival Master Classes 2021 (via zoom Graz, Austria).
Ms. Teterovska is a scholar of the Olgarhythm Foundation (London, UK). Her European debut was in the role of Adina (L’elisir d’amore/ Donizetti) in Teatro Fenarolo di Lanciano (Italy), with conductor Gioachino Scomegna (Italy). In 2017, Ms. Teterovska participated in, and globally represented Latvia in the Manhattan Opera Studio Summer Festival. She performed at the Di Capo Theater in New York (The First lady from Die Zauberflöte /Mozart) with conductor Benoit Renard (France) and stage director Lewis Walker (US). The program concluded with a Gala Performance at Carnegie Hall (NYC). Recital performances for Ms. Teterovska include, "A Midsummer concert in New York," with colleagues Dr. Michael Fennelly (Metropolitan Opera pianist) and American/ Latvian host-actress Laila Robins, at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Latvia to the United Nations in New York City; and, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to the United States of America, performances at the Latvian Churches in NYC and Washington DC.
In May 2021, Evita Teterovska performed the soprano solo of Mahler's 4th Symphony with the Montclair State University Chamber Orchestra, Nicholas DeMaison, conductor in Montclair, NJ. In June Ms. Teterovska made her debut as Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Opera Cosi fan Tutte with the Matador Opera Workshop in Lubbock, Texas, Jeffrey Peterson conductor and Eric Gibson stage director. Then on June 10. Miss Teterovska gave a recital, “Song to the Moon,” with Bethan Self (pianist with Houston Grand Opera) in the home of the Honorary Consul of Latvia, H.E. Peter Ragauss, in Houston, Texas.
On November 18 2023, Evita performed a solo recital with pianist Elena Kholodova (the Atlanta Opera House) for VIPs at the Indigo Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, on the 105th Anniversary of Latvian Independence Day. The event was organized in collaboration with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Mr Kevin Casebier, and the president of the Atlanta Latvian Organisation (ALO), Mrs Inese Stravelli.
